Job Title: RF Subject Matter Expert-Ericsson RAN 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Testing & Mobile Log Analysis: Analize drive tests to assess user experience and coverage issues, review and interpret mobile logs to diagnose RF problems, understand call flows, and identify issues to optimize network performance.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate call flows to determine the root causes of RF issues, ensuring a thorough understanding of network behavior and driving effective resolutions.
  • Handover Processes Analysis: Analyze handover processes, including measurement event triggers, and explain these processes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Key Features Investigation: Investigate scenarios of MIMO, Massive MIMO, and Carrier Aggregation.
  • Spectral Efficiency & User Experience: Analyze spectral efficiency constraints and user experience issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions to enhance overall network performance.
  • Customer Engagement: Listen attentively to customer needs, provide expert guidance, and serve as a key point of contact for technical discussions.
  • Presentations & Feature Launch Analysis: Collaborate with the customer’s RF engineers, deliver presentations, and evaluate the deployment of new RF features.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering or higher

Experience:

  • Proven Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in RAN Optimization engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working with RF engineers, delivering presentations, and analyzing the launch of new RF features with cellular operators.

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong understanding of call flows, handover processes, and root cause analysis in RF environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ericsson-RAN interfaces, 5G-SA core structures, and key network features such as MIMO, Massive MIMO, and Carrier Aggregation
  • Proven expertise in RF performance, drive testing, and mobile log analysis.

  • Excellent customer-facing and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal teams and deliver technical presentations.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze and resolve spectral efficiency and user experience issues.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Trends and Regulations: Awareness of current trends, regulations, and innovations in the telecommunications industry that may impact software delivery and customer requirements.
